Lewis Lau - B.A., M.A., MACP, R.P. (Qualifying)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and it is important to find someone you feel comfortable with. Here is a little about me to help you decide if we might be a good fit.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and an active member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). As a graduate of Brock University, I hold an Honours B.A. degree in Psychology and an M.A. in Applied Health Sciences. I have also completed an M.A. in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
I specialize in working with adolescent and young adult clients navigating various psychological disorders, including anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD. I am also passionate about men’s mental health, and take a hands-on, client-centred, and trauma-informed approach to help my clients understand and manage difficult emotions while clarifying their core values. Upon clients’ requests, I am glad to integrate faith-based approaches that are relevant to the client within the therapeutic context.
I have completed trainings aimed at supporting clients with OCD, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma-related challenges. I also aim to integrate mental health support with the development of clients’ academic, leadership, and relational skills within the therapeutic context.
