Supervision Available with Cindy Rose, M.A., RP

Meeting the CRPO clinical supervision requirements, Cindy is happy to offer clinical supervision for Registered and Qualifying Psychotherapists, and placement students practicing in Ontario.

Cindy's philosophy of supervision is to provide opportunities for supervisee's to build connections and confidence through collaboration. She aims to be a mentor in the process, aiding in strengthening and growing your clinical knowledge and abilities, while building upon your core skills as a therapist.  Supervision can be an enriching and supportive opportunity in the important work you provide to clients.

On a practical level, clinical supervision provides a welcoming space to discuss cases, give and receive feedback, assess strengths, and establish goals in order to help develop self-confidence and a unique voice in providing psychotherapy.  Additionally, clinical supervision is a helpful opportunity to gain or refine clinical skills, develop awareness of blindspots, and ensure one is practicing ethically, with a Safe and Effective Use of Self (SEUS).

Clinical supervision for CRPO registrants across Ontario is offered by Cindy in individual, dyadic, and/or group format.

About Cindy As a Clinical Supervisor

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), as well as a certified member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP).  I have completed extensive academic and clinical training in trauma specific practices, through Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing, National Institute of Trauma and Loss in Children, and Evergreen Certification (CCTP).

Professionally, I have over 7 years of clinical counselling experience with individuals of all ages, couples, and parents.  Additionally, I have 25 years of pastoral counselling experience as an ordained minister, with a focus on children, adolescents, and families.  I have presented hundreds of workshops on topics pertaining to leadership development, team building, and keys to better emotional and mental health.  With my combined professional and academic experience, I meet all the standards for providing clinical supervision, as outlined by the CRPO.

Through a trauma-focused lens, my preferred methods of therapy include a holistic and integrative, client-centred approach, using dialectical-behavioural therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, art therapy, solution-focused therapy, spiritually integrated psychotherapy, internal family systems, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and somatic psychotherapy.

I work with a wide client population including elementary age children, adolescents, young adults, and adult.  Additionally, I have conducted couple’s counselling, and parent counselling sessions.

Clinical Supervision: Open conversation, empathy, and support in a comforting space.
