Hi! My Name Is Stefanie...

Stefanie DeJong - B.A., M.A., R.P.
Registered Psychotherapist
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and it is important to find someone you feel comfortable with. Here is a little about me to help you decide if we might be a good fit.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College Of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I received my Master’s in Education with a concentration in Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa. I completed Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) training in Winter 2023 and have completed Level 2 IFS training with a focus on Addictive Processes and Eating Disorders.
I have completed training on grief and am honoured to walk alongside those who have experienced various types of losses. I also enjoy working with clients who are experiencing infertility, as I have completed training on this topic.
I understand that for some individuals who want to forget childhood traumas, it can be very difficult. I bring a compassionate therapeutic approach that can help heal childhood wounds that continue to impact current-day life.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including a family health team, a counselling agency, a university, and an Employee Assistance Program. I provide individual therapy support for adolescents, young adults, and adults. I approach therapy as a collaborative partner, journeying with clients towards their end goal. I strive to provide a warm, compassionate space for clients to feel known, heard, and accepted so that change can begin to take place.
