Ashley Wills - B.A., M.A, R.P. (Qualifying)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and it is important to find someone you feel comfortable with. Here is a little about me to help you decide if we might be a good fit.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and an active member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Haven.

I have experience working with adults struggling with substance abuse and addiction, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and life-adjustment challenges. I work alongside clients through life’s challenges, helping them build resilience as they learn how to redefine their lives by creating new ways of being.

In addition, I am dedicated to providing support to children and adolescents as they gain the skills and tools they need to face the road ahead. I have experience helping children navigate concerns including test anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, grief and loss, family difficulties, and social challenges. I am enthusiastic about spending ample time developing a safe, trustworthy space for children and adolescents to share and manage their emotional and behavioural difficulties, collaborating with parents to best meet their child’s needs.

I also work with couples using a Gottman-informed approach, supporting them in improving communication, deepening emotional connection, and managing conflict in healthy, constructive ways.

I provide person-centred, empathetic services to individuals of all ages, viewing the client as an expert in their lives and capable of change. The counselling process can feel freeing and cathartic, and it provides a space to explore fears, insecurities, and difficulties adjusting to life. I approach the process with sensitivity, as growth is viable to experience a richer sense of life and well-being.
